Launch of Electrical Engineering Power Laboratory
The Electrical Engineering Power Laboratory in the School of Engineering is a testament to our commitment to fostering the next generation of engineering graduates. This state-of-the-art facility plays a pivotal role in equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the industry. The success of this project owes much to the involvement of our Industry partners: Bourns Electronics, Collins Aerospace, Eirgrid, ESB, Moog, Neodyne and H&MV Engineering who generously supported the initiative.

Joe Gantly Prize in Engineering 2024
Many congratulations to Catherine (Kate) O’Callaghan, School of Engineering, Energy Engineering student who has received the Joe Gantly Prize in Engineering. The prize is awarded annually to the best student of the Work Placement module in the Masters in Engineering (Hons) programmes. Catherine completed her work placement with ESB Renewables in Offshore Operations.

Process and Chemical Engineering Awards 2023
The annual Process and Chemical Engineering Awards provides a showcase for UCC’s engineering talent and rewards student achievement. The event demonstrates how the School of Engineering & Architecture has positioned proactive engagement with industry at the heart of its curriculum. The Awards recognise student achievements across a diverse range of academic and extracurricular activities, and showcases student excellence in advanced process design, operation and innovation, with the philosophy of sustainability production at its core. The Awards provide a showcase for emerging engineering talent and demonstrates the key role the School of Engineering & Architecture in supplying industry with the highest quality graduates. We are grateful to Gilead for sponsoring this year's event.
